About Me

La Toya Williams earned a Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling and currently works as a Licensed Professional Counselor intern at Radical Elevation. Her specialty focus areas include: aroma therapy, meditation, energy movement, mindfulness, journeying, and emotional freedom technique.  She incorporates innovative healing techniques in adjunction to psychotherapy as a vehicle to connect with and support her clients.   La Toya has a background in elementary Hebrew teaching, traumatic brain injury, trauma and dance.  Additionally she utilizes her experience with creative arts to include: dance, production management, scenic design, costume design, prop design, lighting, music design, video editing, backdrop, landscape, and portrait painting, to assist clients as she incorporates these arts into her counseling.  

Using a client centered and client focused rehabilitative approach combined with evidence based treatment models La Toya treats a plethora of mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. By listening to the needs of children, adolescents, and adults, she is able to guide clients to sooth the mind, cope with life difficulties, and reach a place of recovery. 
 I first learned about counseling  when I hit a roadblock in my own life and was struggling to move past it. The techniques I developed were so life changing that friends and family began asking me for help with their own challenges. This motivated me to turn my newfound passion into a full-time career.
